- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager, where all selections must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A betting line that gives a virtual advantage or disadvantage to a team to level the playing field, reducing the possibility of a draw.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for placing bets.
- Bet Builder
- A feature that allows you to combine different outcomes from the same match into a single custom bet.
- Both Teams to Score (BTTS)
- A bet on whether both teams will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- An option to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match (win, draw, or loss) in one wager.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that eliminates the draw outcome, returning your stake if the match ends in a tie.
- Edge
- The perceived advantage a bettor believes they have over the bookmaker’s odds.
- Expected Value
- A measure of the average amount you can expect to win or lose per bet if the same situation repeated many times.
- First Goalscorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in the match.
- Fixed Odds
- Odds that are set at the time of placing the bet and do not change, regardless of later market movements.
- Goal Line
- A line set by the bookmaker representing the total number of goals expected in a match, similar to a total.
- Half-Time/Full-Time
- A bet that requires you to predict both the result at half-time and the final result of the match.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker charges for taking a bet, usually built into the odds.
- Kelly Criterion
- A mathematical formula used to determine the optimal size of a bet based on your perceived edge.
- Margin
- The bookmaker’s built-in profit margin, expressed as a percentage, which ensures they make money regardless of the outcome.
- Odds
- The numerical expression of the likelihood of an outcome, determining how much you can win relative to your stake.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals (or points) in a match will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a bet.
- Surebet
- A situation where odds from different bookmakers allow you to cover all possible outcomes and guarantee a profit.
- Tip
- A prediction or recommendation from an expert or source on which outcome to bet on.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered appear higher than the true probability of the outcome, offering potential long-term profit.
- Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings derived from that bonus.
